Since we like our paintings sunny, radiating positive energy, parrots are a natural choice and a constant presence on our canvases. If these birds were people, no doubt we’d be very close friends. Noisy, wild, curious, friendly, but also very perceptive and adaptable. They might seem like the clowns in the bird world, but they are also known for their longevity among the parrots, and so a lot of intelligence and mystery is hidden in them. The red and blue-green Macaws are the main characters in our paintings.
The idea for these two canvases is to go together but still, each has its own identity and beauty. They can be turned towards each other, non-verbally discussing their parrot matters. If you want to stop this parrot dialogue, you could switch their places so that the parrots look in opposite directions.
We wanted these paintings to remind us of a carnival, a celebration, to radiate colorful light and exotic vibes. There are works of art that make the observer think, others that provoke him to answer some existential questions or remind him of some wisdom of life. Here the goal is much simpler. We aimed for a smile, because sometimes, or rather always, it is more valuable than anything else.
