The inspiration for the Liom Painting was all those friends that every lucky person has in their life. They are very big-hearted, very loyal and can always be counted on, but in their desire to look out for the other’s well-being they can also be a little annoying.
The Lion, as a shrewd and wise ruler, appreciates the sincerity and goodness of their intentions and therefore manages to enjoy life, knowing that it is always fuller and better in the company of faithful friends and beloved relatives.
